Madison Metro bus crashes into police station

A Madison Metro bus plowed into a police station Tuesday afternoon after the driver suffered a medical emergency. The bus veered off the road and crashed into a brick wall housing trash cans outside the Madison Police Department’s North District Building just blocks from the airport. Police said the accident was likely caused by a medical emergency on the part of the driver, who was taken to the hospital.

Student Unions now offer emergency contraceptives

An oral emergency contraceptive is now available for purchase in both student unions at UW-Madison, and at a lower cost than name-brand equivalents. EContra EZ, an emergency contraceptive pill, can now be purchased at the Badger Markets in Memorial Union and Union South for $13.

Slow Food UW broadens access to food by expanding free meal requests online

Charlie Koczela, Executive Director of Slow Food UW, is hoping a new online free meal request platform launched last Tuesday will help build those alleyways, and that the expansion will make the Pay it Forward initiative more accessible for more people. Monday’s Family Dinner Night event will mark the first dinner where guests will be able to request free meals in advance.
