March Madness isn't the only thing worth paying attention to this month

Walking down the streets of Tianjin, China, last summer, I couldn't help but notice the working conditions of a construction crew wrapping up its shift. Besides the fact that the crew lacked what we would consider proper safety equipment, the workers' tattered clothing and soot-covered faces showed they had been working all day through the brutal 90-degree heat.
I'll be the first to admit, I can't define diversity. Is it about skin color, gender identity, class status, religion or all the above? Your guess is as good as mine.
Last Tuesday, Gov. Scott Walker released his much-anticipated 2011-'13 biennial budget proposal. Built to eliminate Wisconsin's $3.6 billion deficit, the UW System expected the proposal to contain drastic cuts as well as major hits to pertinent educational programs — adding to already heated contentions over Walker's budget repair bill.
It has been over two weeks since the 14 Democratic senators fled Wisconsin, effectively ending debate and voting in the state's upper house. These politicians have been called everything from ""heroes"" to ""cowards"" for running away to the Land of Lincoln.
The new voter ID bill has taken the back burner with all the protests on the budget repair bill. The bill would require voters to show a photo ID in order to cast a ballot. It's not just any form of identification that is being required.
