Panel to talk monkey business is a waste
By Lydia Statz | Sep. 19, 2010Last Thursday, the Dane County Board of Supervisors struck down a motion to create a citizen's advisory panel on primate testing at UW-Madison, and rightly so. The duties of the panel were to include analyzing and investigating the ethics behind primate testing in hopes of educating the public. And while it is certainly a topic of great public interest that is worthy of deep debate, the board has no power over the university. Discussing primate testing in a forum that has no authority to affect change is simply a waste of taxpayer dollars and the county legislature's time.

Final non-conference challenge awaits unbeaten Badgers
By Mark Bennett and Brittany Jones | Sep. 16, 2010The 10-0 Wisconsin volleyball team is set to face Green Bay tonight in one final warm up before Big Ten play starts next week. The Phoenix (3-8) are struggling as a team this season but have a slew of talented individuals. While there are plenty more games to play yet this season, for now, a perfect record has been a huge boost to the team.
Badgers set to face off against athletic ASU
By Parker Gabriel | Sep. 16, 2010Maybe the best thing that can be said about the Badgers performance in the first two weeks of this season is that they enter this weekend with two wins. Despite the unblemished record, Wisconsin has struggled to find its rhythm on offense and given up untimely big plays on defense.
