No. 3 Wisconsin (9-1) extended its conference winning streak to 13 consecutive matches with a resounding three-set victory (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) over No. 17 Ohio State (10-2) in the 2016 Big Ten Opener at the UW Field House. In the first set, the Badgers took advantage of sloppy execution on the part of their opponents, as Ohio State fell victim to nine violations that instantly put them at a disadvantage.

For the third time in a row, the No. 2 Badgers (31-2 overall) defeated No. 18 Ohio State (23-12) in the NCAA tournament, giving them their third win against the Buckeyes this season.
