After upsetting then-No. 23 Texas 51-41 on the road in their season opener, the Maryland Terrapins (1-2 Big Ten, 3-3 overall) have had a rollercoaster season.
For the first time this season, the No. 1 University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team is hitting the road.
Following a home sweep of Lindenwood last weekend, the No. 2 University of Wisconsin’s Women’s Hockey team (2-0-0) will look to continue a dominant home stand this weekend against Mercyhurst University (0-0-0). The Badgers defeated Lindenwood 3-1 on Friday and 4-0 on Saturday behind a goal and assist per game from sophomore forward Presley Norby.
Following a 5-0 blowout loss to No. 2 Stanford on August 20, the No. 9 University of Wisconsin-Madison’s women’s soccer team (6-1 overall) has won five straight, including a 1-0 upset over then-No. 3 Virginia.
Through the first weekend of college football, the Big Ten showcased its depth and went 11-3, including No. 2 Ohio State’s 49-21 victory over conference opponent Indiana.
Friday night, Utah State will attempt to bounce back from five straight losses that capped a disappointing 3-9 record last season.
