Men's Soccer: Big Ten title hopes spoiled by Penn State
By Dylan Flaks | Nov. 13, 2011The University of Wisconsin men's soccer team had an abrupt and disappointing end to their season on Friday. The Badgers went into their second round match with the last-seeded Penn State Nittany Lions, a team off an upset of the second seeded Ohio State Buckeyes, with a chance to move on to the finals of the Big Ten Conference tournament. But on Friday in Ann Arbor (the University of Michigan played host to the tournament), the Badgers went down 1-0 to the Nittany Lions and now must await the judgement of the NCAA to see if they will, by some small chance, get a bid for the NCAA tournament.
