New student organization rises to the challenge of getting women in office

Rise to Run is an up-and-coming national organization with four pilot locations: North Carolina, Colorado, Florida and UW-Madison.
The Wisconsin branch of Donate Life America strives to “help students combat the misconceptions that surround organ and tissue donation,” according to Sydney Kelly, a member of the group.
The Climate Reality Campus Corps at UW-Madison has been focusing on “raising a lot of student awareness and support, and faculty support for the 100% Committed campaign,” according to Mary Pierce, a member of the group. The organization has had success at smaller universities, but bringing the cause to UW-Madison is part of their goal of spreading awareness on a larger scale.
The Wisconsin School of Business was founded in 1900 as one of the first five business programs in the nation, and it’s about to undergo a change in leadership.
Hudson Taylor's nonprofit organization, Athlete Ally, aims to end homophobia, transphobia and sexism in the athletic community. Taylor’s credibility in this athletic context is supported by his past achievements, as well as his past as a wrestling coach at Columbia University in New York City.
