Leading from start to finish, the No. 24 Wisconsin Badgers (13-6 Big Ten, 20-10 overall) earned its seventh straight victory after defeating the Northwestern Wildcats (2-17 Big Ten, 7-22 overall) 63-48.
Continuing in its success, Wisconsin (10-6 Big Ten, 17-10 overall) secured its fourth-straight win with a 79-71 victory over Rutgers (9-8 Big Ten, 18-10 overall) and improved to 13-1 at home this season.
Well, it has been a wild couple of days for the Wisconsin Badgers (5-5 Big Ten, 12-9 overall), so let’s look at a quick recap of what has led the team to this point.
Wisconsin (5-3 Big Ten, 12-7 overall) took care of business at home — as head coach Greg Gard earned Big Ten win number 50 — after defeating Nebraska (2-6 Big Ten, 7-12 overall) by a final of 82-68.
Wisconsin (4-3 Big Ten, 11-7 overall) looks to advance its winning streak over Nebraska (2-5 Big Ten, 7-11 overall) when the Cornhuskers travel to the Kohl Center Tuesday night.
After a rough showing at the Legends Classic Tournament in New York, Wisconsin’s record fell to 4-3 after a loss to both Richmond and New Mexico during tournament play. However, the Badgers look to turn things around as they prepare to face NC State (5-2) during the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday.
Earning itself a year of bragging rights, Wisconsin (3-1) handed in-state rival Marquette (2-1) its first loss with a score of 77-61. The Golden Eagles fought to keep the game within reach, but after an MVP performance from senior guard Brevin Pritzl, the Wisconsin-Marquette narrative was changed.
After two record setting games, all eyes are on junior forward Nate Reuvers as the Badgers enter their third game of the season against McNeese State Wednesday night.
Wisconsin (1-1) took care of business in its home opener against Eastern Illinois (0-2), taking down the Panthers 65-52.
Wisconsin (0-1) looks to bounce back after a narrow 65-63 overtime loss against No. 20 St. Mary’s on the road Tuesday. The Badgers will kick off home play against Eastern Illinois (0-1), who also suffered a 71-59 loss against No. 13 Texas Tech in its season opener.
